GROWING INFORMATION: Perennial in Zones 7 to 12, otherwise grown as a potted plant brought indoors for the winter. Plant thrives in full sun or part shade in very well-drained garden soil or rockery. In the spring, sow in pots or flats. Rough up soil surface, scatter seed, tamp securely and deep evenly moist until germination, which occurs in 10 to 20 days. Tin or transplant to 2 to 3 feet apart.
USE: The plant is used in herbal therapy as an anti-inflammatory on the same level as Arnica.
